No changes in 3Com operations in RP, says exec

It is that time where companies are merging, downsizing (right-sizing as they call it) to cope with an industry approaching maturity. Intel has also announced global layoffs. Other companies have followed. An excerpt of my story:

There will be no changes at 3Com’s operations in the Philippines as its president recently resigned, an executive told INQ7.net.

Reacting to an e-mail question, Joseph Vukson, manager for worldwide corporate communications of 3Com Corp., said the appointment of Edgar Masri as new president and chief executive officer will only take effect on August 17, 2006.
