CICT to deal with .ph issue soon, says chief

The Commission on Information and Communications Technology is set to revive this issue soon, according to its chief. The disputed .ph country domain has been discussed since 1995, when some members of the local Internet community submitted complaints to the Department of Trade and Industry.

RAMON Sales, chairman of the Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT), has said the agency will deal with the .ph domain issue soon.

Sales revealed plans to “mirror the .ph domain” in collaboration with the government’s Advanced Science and Technology Institute (ASTI).
