I recently lost 15 gigabytes’ worth of MP3 music (partyly because I wanted to refresh my collection).
But losing that amount of music due to stupidity or plain ignorance (neglect for some) is just frustrating. It took me months to build that collection and now I have to start all over. I’m currently at 8GB. So when I heard about a local company developing an online back-up service for iTunes users, I was excited. But it was quickly doused when I found out it is still limited to Mac users.
To add some spice to the service, the local startup Xackup decided to add in an element of social networking, similar to last.fm. Anyway, there are plans to develop a Windows version too but am not sure when.
