CICT commissioner may quit, says chief

What is happening in the Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT), the country’s highest policymaking body on ICT? Why are they quitting? CICT Commissioner Tim Diaz de Rivera has recently expressed plans to quit public service soon. INQ7.net breaks the story.

CICT chairman Ramon Sales said Diaz de Rivera has “indicated plans to resign” sometime next year.

Sales denied that a “purging” was going on the CICT, following the departure of CICT chairman Virgilio Peña and commissioners Damian Mapa and Frank Perez for various reasons.
